SK Diesels were asked to step in as a service provider when a company who was managing the generator side of the project went insolvent. SK Diesels was ready for the challenge and stepped up to the plate. This was a huge growth spurt for SK Diesels as we had to grow to be able to cope with such a huge responsibility.

The Vodacom project involved deployment, refuelling and servicing the fleet of Vodacom generators. This involved both static and mobile generators to remote rural and urban sites.

Service delivery was maintained with quality workmanship given to the end user client. The project was initially run by Ericsson and then in the latter stages of the project with Mobax.

Monitoring of generators and providing the end client with reports on fuel consumptions at all stages of the project. SK Diesels believes in transparency and keeping the client informed at all times.

The Vodacom project covered the Eastern Cape and serviced areas in and surrounding George, East London, Port Elizabeth, Queenstown, Mthatha and Kokstad. Challenges of bad road conditions were overcome as well as dealing with a lot of theft and vandalism in the areas.

During this time we assisted with the Garden route fires when our technicians were deploying and ensuring the networks stayed up in this time of crisis to the region.
